ZEPOSIA® (ozanimod) | Capsule | Boehringer Ingelheim

$2,589.00

Zeposia is a prescription oral capsule used to treat adults with certain inflammatory diseases. Specifically, it is indicated for the treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) including relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS), clinically isolated syndrome (CIS), and active secondary progressive MS (SPMS). It is also used for moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC) in adults when other standard treatments have failed or cannot be used.

Zeposia works as a sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) receptor modulator. It modulates the immune system by preventing certain immune cells (lymphocytes) from migrating to areas of inflammation in the brain, spinal cord, or intestinal mucosa. This action reduces inflammation and damage in these diseases.

Usage involves once-daily oral capsules with a gradual dose escalation at treatment start to reduce heart-related side effects. Treatment should be under the supervision of a doctor experienced in MS or UC management.

Watching for potential side effects such as upper respiratory infections, increased liver enzymes, macular edema, and blood pressure changes,

Not using Zeposia concurrently with certain other medicines or in patients with certain pre-existing conditions (doctor evaluation required).
